There&rsquo;s no start and finish. Instead, there&rsquo;s a loop.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">You clean the kitchen, and by dinner it&rsquo;s dirty again. You do the laundry, and somehow another pile has formed before the first one&rsquo;s even dry!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">You polish the bathroom until it&rsquo;s glowing and spotless, and a minute later, someone is getting water and limescale on every surface.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">It&rsquo;s not that any of these chores are specifically hard to do, but they are endless.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">You do the same thing again and again, like mad, and nothing ever stays clean.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Es <strong>mentally draining<\/strong>, especially when you learn that the people around you don&rsquo;t notice or care about the effort you keep putting in.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">2. Let that sink in!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">You need numerous skills to maintain a pristine, comfortable home; skills that you&rsquo;ve been learning and honing for decades.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">And as these skills grow and you become better at <strong>managing chaos<\/strong> and tidying up, the less people see your effort.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In their eyes, the place was never dirty, so you didn&rsquo;t have that much to do anyway!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">However, they lose sight of the fact that someone <strong>works constantly<\/strong>, like a hamster on a wheel, to make sure the mess doesn&rsquo;t accumulate.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The reward for doing this job well is that your effort disappears. Honestly, few other jobs are that thankless.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">3. There&rsquo;s no invoice and no salary; all you have to show for it is the tangible results of your work, and somehow, noticing them became optional.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Economists say unpaid domestic work is <strong>worth trillions<\/strong> globally, but since it&rsquo;s not compensated, in the eyes of many, it&rsquo;s worthless.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">It&rsquo;s often treated as something you do out of the goodness of your heart, not as a real, <strong>hard responsibility<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In 2026, homemakers are still described as &ldquo;not working,&rdquo; even though they contribute around the clock.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Apparently, money makes labor <em>trabajo<\/em>.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Sadly, motherhood is treated exactly the same, for the same reasons.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">4. Cook for your family day in and day out, and it&rsquo;s <strong>reduced to nothing<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Love doesn&rsquo;t fold laundry or scrub a toilet. Someone invests precious time into getting it all done.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Calling domestic work a &ldquo;labor of love&rdquo; gaslights everyone involved into believing that <strong>afecto<\/strong> should be<strong> payment enough<\/strong> for the work you do every single day for decades.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">That is why expecting help and acknowledgment makes <em>usted<\/em> look ungrateful.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">No one tells a nurse their work doesn&rsquo;t count because they happen to know and love a patient.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">So, why do we keep doing that to women?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">5. Domestic labor leaves nothing behind except more labor tomorrow.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">It&rsquo;s not treated as an achievement because it&rsquo;s <strong>invisible by design<\/strong>.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">6.
