It comes gradually, through <strong>compliance<\/strong> and changing <strong>priorit\u00e0<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">If you&rsquo;re feeling called out because you&rsquo;ve drifted apart from Him, you&rsquo;re not alone.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Faith requires constant vigilance and devotion, and life can sometimes get in the way. As long as you catch yourself in time and choose to return to Him, He will welcome you.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">1. Do you sometimes do it just to check the box?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This is the easiest sign to spot.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Prayer gets people through the day, it helps them sleep better and greet the new day with hope. It&rsquo;s a form of self-care.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">When praying, we reach out to God because <strong>we need Him<\/strong>. He won&rsquo;t be harmed by our lack of prayer, but we might be!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">So, when it starts feeling like an obligation rather than a privilege, it means you&rsquo;ve just been going through the motions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Take a step back and <strong>pray from the heart<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">If your life is truly hectic, then create a praying routine that works for you. You don&rsquo;t have to pray each and every day.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">It&rsquo;s really not the quantity you want to prioritize here, but the quality of your connection with Him.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">2. You&rsquo;re exhausted from work, you have chores to do, your kids are driving you nuts, and naturally, you need some time for yourself and your hobbies.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Finding time for God in all this mess can feel impossible.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">However, a <strong>difficult season<\/strong> doesn&rsquo;t have to sever your relationship with Him. Praying and reaching out to Him every day is wonderful, but only if you can actually be present.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">On the other hand, recognize when you&rsquo;re truly busy versus when you&rsquo;re just <strong>compliant<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">It&rsquo;s so easy to prioritize fun and screen time over committed prayer. You might even catch yourself thinking of God less and less as time goes by.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Ask yourself if He is truly such a small part of your life.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">3. If you can&rsquo;t remember, take it as a sign.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">When you&rsquo;re close to Him, you&rsquo;re naturally aware of the areas where you fall short, and you&rsquo;re able to come <strong>back to grace<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">When you&rsquo;re distant, nothing challenges you to be better. You start brushing off your mistakes and making excuses.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Losing the urge to repent means you&rsquo;ve stopped believing you really <strong>need a Savior<\/strong>, and that&rsquo;s a lonely place to be.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">4. What about Sunday service?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">People who distance themselves from God understand they&rsquo;re doing the wrong thing, on some level.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">They know something is different and that people might notice, so they stay away from those who might hold them <strong>accountable<\/strong>.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This is a common defense mechanism because being around passionate believers makes them <strong>feel guilty<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">If this is you, it&rsquo;s possible that you tell yourself how the community is toxic or how you can worship just fine from home.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">God wants you to have a circle of people who encourage and challenge you; don&rsquo;t throw that away.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">8.
