You think you&rsquo;re being practical, making sensible choices in this crazy economy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This keeps people trapped, sometimes forever.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">We naturally try to avoid discomfort, but a certain amount is necessary for <strong>character-building<\/strong>.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">When you don&rsquo;t have to think about cooking, doing the laundry, paying your dues on time, and running a household, you simply won&rsquo;t have the motivation to push through discomfort.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Over time, your <strong>tolerance of discomfort<\/strong> shrinks even more. So, even if you planned to stay in the nest temporarily, it starts to feel like that&rsquo;s your only choice.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Any ambitions you might have had start to look like silly dreams.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Stagnation is still stagnation, even if it&rsquo;s comfortable.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">6. They&rsquo;re the people who love you the most in the world, and you have to leave them behind.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">And the longer you stay, the harder the separation becomes, for all of you.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Habits and attachments run our lives. Your parents get used to having you around, to seeing you every day; their <strong>sense of purpose<\/strong> is tied to you.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">So, when you finally start talking about leaving, you&rsquo;ll be met with <strong>resistance<\/strong>. They might try to complicate it or even create obstacles for you.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Naturally, all of this makes you feel guilty.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">None of you can see what you have to gain from the separation; you gain independence and strength, and they gain freedom.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">7. Living with them means that you remain that person instead of growing into someone new.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">You can&rsquo;t outgrow a role if you keep living it.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">8.
