A lot of believers describe the feeling of something unseen standing in their way, monitoring their every move.
Common experiences include plans failing the moment you mention them out loud, or not being able to learn your lesson, no matter how many times you go through the same thing.
Our spiritual lives include patterns and signs. We can use these to recognize spiritual monitoring, much like we recognize that there will be a storm the next day.
Here are 10 signs to look for!
1. Future Plans Fall Apart the Moment You Share Them
This has happened to so many of us.
You’re genuinely looking forward to something, like a new job opportunity or a milestone in your relationship.
You can’t wait to share it, so you confide in someone, and like magic, the whole thing falls through.
We tend to call this jinx, and you’ll even hear people advise each other to “move in silence.”
Whether you’re spiritual or not, you feel it in your bones that something is monitoring you, waiting to hear about your next move.
Now, spiritual monitoring doesn’t always mean that a demon is out to get you. It might simply be 負のエネルギー または 羨望 from someone nearby.
It can have serious a impact on our fragile, new plans.
So, until you’re positive that the thing you’re working towards is going to happen, keep it between you and a couple of people you trust.
2. Success Always Comes With a Lot of Pushback
Does it feel like your success always comes at a price?
And by this, I don’t mean hard work and sacrifices necessary to make it happen. I mean, when you have success in one area of your life, you lose something in the process?
For instance, you finally start a relationship with someone you’ve liked for a while, and out of nowhere, one of your close friendships falls through?
Spiritual monitoring might be the culprit behind these sudden conflicts そして losses you can’t explain.
What’s most interesting, many people note that it’s the timing that always gets them! It’s like there’s a rule that you need to be taken down a peg every time you reach a new milestone.
The only way through this is forward. Put more focus and devotion into your goals, and try not to let the pushback get to you.
3. You Dream of Being Watched or Followed
When you suspect spiritual monitoring, you can’t help but feel burdened by it. The stress even makes it into your dreams.
So, you might have dreams where you’re being observed, followed home, or even filmed without permission!
If these dreams happen more than once, your suspicions might be correct.
Sure, stress and anxiety might be the cause, too, but if you feel like it’s something larger than that, something spiritual, turn to prayer.
Sometimes, these dreams are reminders to reflect on something and bring it before God.
A regular communion with Him can help strengthen your spiritual boundaries.
4. Random People Want to Know Your Business
Pay attention to how many people are curious about your finances, relationships, plans, or family. How many of them do you think actually have your best interests in mind?
As I said, spiritual monitoring doesn’t only come from the spiritual realm; it can be done by other people.
Those who want to know your business without actually wanting to support you are only looking for information they can exploit.
It doesn’t automatically mean something sinister is going on, but it does mean the relationship is imbalanced.
Imbalance eventually costs you something, like your peace or privacy.
We don’t always treat access to ourselves as something inherently valuable, and we should. Set firm boundaries, and only allow truly well-meaning people in.
5. Things You Tell People in Confidence Get Around
You tell someone something in confidence, and days later, it reaches people you never intended to know about it.
So, how is this a sign of spiritual monitoring, you might wonder? It’s just gossip.
However, when something like this happens repeatedly, it becomes an attack on your peace.
Sure, your circle isn’t as safe as you thought, and someone you trust prioritizes gossip over the friendship they share with you.
It might not be a spirit or a demon that does it, but the disturbance it causes can be very spiritual!
Prayer can help you regain your peace, but something like this also demands a practical solution. Become more discerning and intentional about who you confide in.
You need to become the one who monitors.
6. Prayer Feels Impossible to Get Through
Spiritual monitoring disturbs your concentration and belief.
Even if you’re someone who prays often enough, you might notice that your ability to sit with God and stay focused on His Word is gone.
You feel scattered; it’s as though your thoughts would rather focus on anything but prayer.
This can make you discouraged and even lead you to question your faith!
Staying disciplined isn’t easy, and it’s not meant to be. It attracts friction and distraction, so you have to fight through them to stay consistent.
7. You’re Stuck in One Area of Life
Chaos doesn’t show up randomly in our lives. For some people, it shows up in their financial problems, while for others, in their family life and relationships.
We all know that one person who moves from one chaotic situationship to another, unable to recognize it’s their own choices that keep them stuck in this loop.
This could also be the result of spiritual monitoring.
Something keeps you from being able to set boundaries and make better choices.
You might struggle to stay consistent and keep a stable job.
To defeat this pattern, you need to prioritize クラリティ. See yourself clearly, question your choices, and ask why you keep making them.
If there is spiritual resistance, you can’t let it slow you down.
8. A Lack of Support from Other People
We all have that one person monitoring our life choices and milestones. They witness it all, but never actually show up to congratulate us on a job well done.
Oh, but when you fail at something? They’re first in line to hear all about it.
This is one of the more painful patterns to notice because it often comes from people close to you.
It can affect you spiritually if you start to doubt yourself and allow this envy to stay in your life.
Surround yourself with people who are genuinely happy when things are going well for you. Deny access to those who only want hot new gossip to pass along.
9. You Feel the Urge to Tell Everyone Everything
This one sneaks up on you. It often comes seemingly out of nowhere, so you fail to catch it in time.
Spiritual monitoring leads you to overshare with people you don’t even trust about some very personal things.
Before anything has been confirmed, you run your mouth, and every single time, you regret it.
Plans fall through, and you’re left to make up excuses to people you don’t owe any explanation to.
Opinions and expectations flood from all sides, making your inability to do something everyone’s problem.
Deny this inexplicable urge to get ahead of yourself. Pray for patience, and see things through before you tell people about them.
10. You Fear That Someone Is Watching You
When this fear makes it out of your dreams and starts to burden you in reality, you know it’s getting serious.
Whether it’s physical or spiritual monitoring, we’re wired to detect it. You know how you can 感じる someone’s eyes on your skin, even though you can’t see them?
That almost never happens for no reason.
Someone or something might indeed be observing you. However, there’s also the psychological side of things to consider.
You might be feeling burdened and 安全でない in your daily life, so you feel watched even when you’re all alone.
If this is the case, don’t feel like you have to choose between faith and mental health. Both are from God.
