When someone is not meant for us, there will be many sinais that will warn us about that relationship.
What you feel internally is very important for your relationships, as well as what you see externally. Signs can appear as feelings, numbers, words, etc.
Try to be aware of these signs if you’re unsure of your current connection.
You Feel Drained After Every Interaction
Above all, one of the first clear signs of divinely inspired guidance can often occur as a feeling of utter exhaustion after spending time with a person. You felt drained and depleted of energy rather than invigorated or uplifted.
From a spiritual or energetic standpoint, your intuition is signaling that your frequency or vibrational essence does not match the other person.
The divine wants to use your emotions as a messenger of uncomfortableness; hence, it shows you exhaustion, tension, or a sense of restlessness. If you notice that your peace is dwindling around this person, know it is not random; it is divinely inspired guidance.
A true and meaningful connection or interaction should feel peaceful, not chaotic. Notice how you feel when the individual leaves.
If you consistently feel on an emotional level like you need to recover or recenter in order to feel settled, the divine wants to remind you that your spirit has always understood the imbalance in your life, long before your heart and reasoning have acknowledged it.
You Keep Seeing Repeating Red Flags
The universe will not stop showing you something when it wants you to pay attention to it. If you see the same disappointing behavior over and over (lies, inconsistency, or disrespect), that is not just bad luck; it’s the universe being very clear.
Spiritually speaking, red flags are just love from the universe in disguise because they help you see the truth early on. The issue sometimes isn’t that the red flags aren’t there; it’s that we want them to change.
With each red flag, the universe is attempting to protect you from heartbreak in the future. When someone shows you their true self, believe them. Ignoring patterns does nothing but postpone your peace.
The divine does not punish us but redirects us. If the same lesson continues to arise, ask yourself, ‘Why?’ You’re being nudged to walk away before it gets ugly.
Your Intuition Feels Uneasy Around Them
Your intuition is a form of divine communication, and it always communicates through feeling first. If a person makes you feel uneasy, anxious, or unsettled (even if everything is externally fine), you should allow that message to guide you.
Uncomfortable feelings are, spiritually, also a form of protection; the energy field perceives a disconnect, and you are not imagining it.
In this sense, the universe often communicates with you in a subtle manner (as opposed to chaos); it is often a quiet sense of knowing and urging you to move after an unsettling experience. Don’t allow yourself to override whatever you’ve felt.
If someone’s presence or energy disturbs your peace, it is an indicator that you’re not in alignment with them. The right connection evokes internal calm, while a difficult energy evokes tension. Any time you start to doubt what you genuinely feel or know within yourself, you move away from clarity and divine understanding.
Everything Starts to Go Wrong When They Appear
Sometimes, divine warning comes through things from the outside. When this person comes into your life, everything feels, all of a sudden, off. Hard to concentrate, more arguments, plans falling through.
Spiritually, energy that isn’t aligned will create resistance. So the universe is breaking up what isn’t right to protect what is right. If your life is moving along perfectly fine until they show up, be aware.
Restlessness is not passion. When you’re experiencing chaos in relation to someone, it could mean their vibration isn’t going to support your path. When their presence causes discomfort instead of liberation, it’s another divine intervention cautioning you to move away before something worse happens.
You Feel Like You’re Shrinking Around Them
The divine never wants you to be with someone who dims your light. If you feel smaller, quieter, or less confident around them, that is a spiritual message. Healthy love expands you, and an unhealthy connection will always shrink you.
Spiritually, you were meant to expand, not reduce. The universe uses discomfort as a mirror; it shows you that this person does not appreciate who you are.
If you are censoring your emotions, hiding your talents, and doubting your value, you have already received your divine message. You are not meant to shrink yourself into smaller spaces for love.
The right person allows you to expand even further, and they will be inspired by you, not threatened.
The Universe Sends Signs Through Synchronicities and Endings
Sometimes divine warnings look like coincidences: dreams, numbers, and unexpected words. You may notice repeating numbers (like seeing 222 or 666), notice strange delays, or suddenly have things appear to fall apart out of nowhere.
The above scenarios (and many more) are not coincidences, spiritually. Think of them as divine redirections. The universe works through alignment, and when something is no longer stated by the universe, the energy begins to dissipate.
The romantic or interpersonal connection may no longer be flowing, no matter how hard you try to hold it together. Instead of pushing through or forcing it, recognize the ending as divine mercy.
The universe is simply taking things away from you that you may not consciously realize are wrong for you. Trust that every closed door is sacred protection, not rejection.
Born and raised in Bosnia and Herzegovina. Ever since I was a little girl, my imagination knew no bounds. I remember vividly how I’d scribble down short stories, each page bursting with adventures and characters conjured up from the whimsy of my mind. These stories weren’t just for me; they were my way of connecting with my friends, offering them a slice of my fantasy world during our playtimes. The joy and excitement on their faces as we dived into my fictional realms motivated me to keep writing. This early passion for storytelling naturally evolved into my pursuit of writing, turning a childhood hobby into a fulfilling career.
