7 Egg Rituals Every Witch Should Try!

Some of the most powerful objects you can use in your practice are simple and available to everyone!

Eggs have always had a prominent spot in rituals, since they symbolize potential, birth, life force, and the Sun.

Not to mention, they’re basically little wombs you can hold in your hand and watch as life hatches from them, which makes them one of the greatest 生育率 symbols in the world!

These 7 rituals are so simple you might as well try them tonight; bring your intention and one egg!

1. Cleansing Yourself

何时 you feel heavy, like stale energy is dragging you down, try this ritual.

You’ll need one egg, a bowl of water, and a quiet corner where you can be alone and uninterrupted.

Hold the egg in both hands while you focus on setting your intention. Allow your palms to warm it as you think of the stress and negativity it’s going to free you from.

Once you know the purpose of your cleansing, slowly roll the egg over your body. Start with the top of your head, and work your way down, making sure you’re thorough.

This process shouldn’t be rushed, so make sure you have 10 to 15 minutes to spare.

The egg is gathering any negativity you’ve been holding onto, and it’s very important that you don’t allow it to break before you’re done.

Once this part of the ritual is complete, crack the egg into the water. Any dark and uneven spots are believed to be the result of the negative energy.

Dispose of the water, and leave the heaviness behind you.

2. Ritual of Release

If you wish to release something specific, like a bad habit, a 恐惧或一个 grudge against your ex, then you’ll want to do a different egg ritual.

Start by taking a piece of paper and writing down exactly what you wish to be rid of. Don’t overthink it, just be honest.

Again, hold the egg as you keep the intention in your mind. Imagine as it draws out the emotional weight from you.

This is the most important step, so give it time. Imagine what your life will be like once you’re free from your burdens and meditate upon your reasons for wanting them gone.

Once you feel ready, crack the egg into a bowl.

As you watch it leak out of the shell, picture your burdens doing the same.

You might simply dispose of it, but I find it a nice touch to bury the egg in the ground.

It turns your release into potential; it becomes a seed for something better.

3. Inviting Abundance

Looking for a ritual to help you invite wealth and 很好 运气 into your life? An egg can take your manifestation to the next level!

Hold your egg and really focus on the abundance you want. Picture golden light, good opportunities, higher income, and how you would spend it.

Try to focus on specific details, so the image is really vivid in your mind.

When you’re satisfied with the intention, gently roll the egg over your head, arms, and torso. In these focused moments, you’re generating positive energy, and you want the egg to gather it up.

When you’re done, crack the egg into a bowl of water, and watch for patterns. Spirals, bubbles, and any unique shapes of yolk are always a good sign!

Do not throw this water away! Instead, dig a small hole in your backyard and bury it there.

Symbolically, you’re making your abundance grow!

4. Create a Protective Shield

If you’re feeling exposed or afraid of negative influences, there’s also an egg ritual for that!

You’ll want to hold the egg, and while doing so, imagine a bright and warm light enveloping your whole body until you’re safely covered.

The, roll the egg over your body. Imagine it find and trap anything negative that might be trying to cross the shield you’ve created.

Again, commit to the visualization. The more vivid, the better your results will be.

Once it’s all done, crack the egg into some water. This time, dark patches or cloudy spots are a good sign. It means your ritual was successful.

Dispose of the egg somewhere far from home.

Consider repeating this one whenever you’re about to go through something stressful, or when you have to spend time with people who drain you.

5. Fertility Blessing

In many ancient religions, eggs were symbols of new life. It only makes sense for them to be used in fertility rituals.

Again, you start by holding the egg in your hands and setting intentions.

Focus on growth and potential. Think of new beginnings and the life-giving power you were born with.

Take some time to sit with this hopeful energy.

When you feel ready, lie down and start rolling the egg across your lower abdomen. Let the intention sink in and connect to your reproductive energy.

Once this step is done, crack the egg into water and watch for signs. A clear egg white with soft bubbles is taken as a good omen.

You can dispose of this water, but save the shell.

You can either bury it or reuse it in gardening.

This ritual is also great for people who wish to nurture their creativity or ideas.

6. Attract Love

This ritual helps you become softer and attract love, whether it’s romantic or platonic, or the kind of love you give yourself!

Hold your egg and think about openness and connection. Let yourself feel what it’s like to be available.

Roll the egg gently over your heart, 你的 wrists, 和你的 颈项; these areas are associated with emotional energy.

The egg will absorb all the things that keep you unable to receive and give love, like emotional armor and past pain.

Have a bowl of water ready, and when you’ve cracked an egg, look for clarity and soft bubbles. These are good signs.

You might want to transfer the water into a jar or anything with a lid. Keep it around until you start to feel the change.

When you feel readier to embrace love and openness, safely dispose of it.

7. Healing Yourself

When your body and mind need some healing, turn to this ritual. It’s not a medicine replacement, but it can help promote and quicken your healing.

Hold the egg and think about what needs healing. Are you in pain, or just mentally overwhelmed? Have you been through something traumatic you’re struggling to move on from?

Roll the egg over the areas that need attention and picture as your discomfort flows into the egg.

There’s no right or wrong way to do this; simply listen to what your body is telling you.

Once you feel like you’ve done it enough, crack the egg into the water. When you go to dispose of it, take a moment to express 感激之情.

Ending on a grateful note makes the ritual feel truly complete.
