Jesus describes a place with many rooms and active living.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Quran describes gardens with flowing <strong>water, rich food,<\/strong> deep rest, and <strong>\u966a\u4f34<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Jewish tradition speaks of the World to Come, a place where we can engage with <strong>\u795e\u667a<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">All of this paints a picture of a very physical and active world. There&rsquo;s no room for the word boring anywhere when you look at these descriptions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Heaven isn&rsquo;t nothingness; it&rsquo;s an improved existence.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">3. Though it sounds lovely to float on clouds, doing so for eternity surely sounds boring.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This idea actually comes from <strong>Renaissance paintings<\/strong>, highly inspired by the classical Greek and Roman heritage.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Renaissance artists sought to express spiritual transcendence through symbols. Clouds meant elevation, and harps meant praise.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">But many theologians argued that this is just a human expression, not what the holy texts actually promise.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Scripture speaks of a remade creation where everything broken about the current world is restored and elevated.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u6709 <strong>no decay<\/strong> and corruption.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Think of everything you love about the world right now, but it lasts, intact and forever.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">How could that sound boring?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">4.
