She called her names and constantly tried to create conflict in her marriage.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">But her worst attempt was revealed when a gypsy woman approached the house, begging for some money.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Grandmother gave her a little change just to send her away, but the woman told her something that froze her in place: &ldquo;You suffer from headaches, don&rsquo;t you?&rdquo;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">And she did. There was no clear reason.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The doctor confirmed she wasn&rsquo;t sick, and there were no signs of physical harm on her. Still, she cried to the point of getting a fever.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">My friend had recently fought with a neighbor, and she claimed she had seen a woman snooping right outside her bedroom window.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">On the ground, right under the window, she found a <strong>carefully wrapped object<\/strong>. It only got worse.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Aside from the verbal abuse, her actual <strong>health started spiraling<\/strong>. She lost weight drastically and simply couldn&rsquo;t get ahead in any area of life.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">So, my grandmother, her mom, took a photo of her to a woman from our town who worked with curses.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The woman performed the <strong>&ldquo;pouring of fear.&rdquo; <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This ritual involved melting lead and pouring it into cold water right above the photo. The lead cools and hardens in the water, creating various shapes, which are then interpreted.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">I was there with my grandma as a child, and I remember wondering if it would even work since my aunt wasn&rsquo;t there personally.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Her mother-in-law continued to be terrible, but she had found her strength.&nbsp;<\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Most people think curses are relics of the past, something that existed in less enlightened times.
