Never Use These 10 Phrases While Praying Or Manifesting

Have you ever wondered if some phrases or words might be slowing down your manifestations or wishes?

While we pray or manifest, it is important to stay in a certain mindset that can attract our dream realities to us and not repel them.

There are certain words you should never use if you want to see your dreams come true.

Here are several words and phrases you might be using or thinking while praying, which you should never use.

1. “I don’t deserve this.”

You shut the door before the universe can even open it when you say you don’t deserve something. Being deserving doesn’t mean being perfect; it means being human, worthy, and willing to accept.

Prayer is not about punishment; it is about trust. You can manifest better if you think you deserve wonderful things. Instead of thinking bad things about yourself, say, “I welcome what is meant for me” or “I am open to blessings.”

You go from denying yourself to accepting yourself, and that change in energy makes a big difference.

2. “Please forgive me for existing.”

This phrase is wrapped in a lot of shame. There is nothing wrong with being alive, and no prayer or manifestation should start with self-condemnation. You came here for a reason.

Everyone has a purpose, even if you haven’t found yours yet. All this does is inform the universe that you don’t think you deserve to live.

You could also pray for healing by saying things like “Help me let go of guilt that isn’t mine” or “Help me see the beauty in who I am.” The change from shame to self-compassion is tiny but strong.

3. “I’ll never be happy until…”

Putting stipulations like this on things stops joy from coming to you. It makes happiness depend on one event, which means you may never reach the finish line. When you pray or manifest in this manner, you tell yourself that happiness isn’t possible right now.

The universe works best when you live in the moment but still want more. Try saying, “I appreciate what I have, and I welcome even more happiness.”

This makes it possible for all kinds of blessings to come into your life, not just the ones you believe you need.

4. “Why does nothing ever work out for me?”

When things are tough, it’s acceptable to feel angry, but saying this sentence over and over keeps you stuck in a negative loop. Words like this turn into affirmations, but of failure instead of hope.

Energy affects the universe, and hopelessness brings in more of it. Instead, say, “Show me what lesson I need to learn” or “Lead me to what is best for me.”

These words make us curious instead of hopeless, and that change lets new possibilities show themselves.

5. “I am powerless.”

When you say you can’t do anything (right), you’re telling the universe you don’t trust yourself. Prayer and manifestation are about working together with your soul and heavenly energy.

When you say “I am powerless,” it’s like ending that connection. You have strength inside you, even when you’re at your weakest. You could say, “I may not see the way yet, but I believe that power flows through me.”

You can tell yourself that strength is there, even if it seems weak, and the universe will make it stronger.

6. “I just want it to stop.”

You miss the chance to ask for what you really want to appear in your life when you pray for something to end. When manifesting, it’s more powerful to focus on creating than on destroying.

This keeps your energies attached to the fight instead of the serenity you want. Change your words to “I welcome calm and clarity into my life” or “Bring me healing and balance.”

You change when you stop fighting and open yourself up to new ideas.

7. “I know this is impossible.”

This could be one of the biggest blocks you could create for yourself. Your mind will not let you achieve anything if you say it is impossible.

Even if you pray with all your heart, the universe works in strange ways, and doors open when you let them.

When you say “impossible,” it’s like locking a door and throwing away the key.

Try saying, “I don’t see the way yet, but I believe there is one.” That little bit of faith is usually all it takes for energy to flow and doors to open.

8. “I hate myself.”

It takes a lot of energy to hate yourself, and bringing that energy into prayer or manifestation makes things much harder.

You don’t have to love yourself perfectly all the time, but saying hateful things will keep the love you want from coming to you.

It’s okay to be honest in prayer, but you don’t have to be mean to be honest. Try saying, “Help me learn to be kind to myself” or “Show me how to love who I am.”

These words still recognize struggle, but they will surely open your heart instead of closing it.

9. “Just give me anything.”

When you ask a question that isn’t clear, the universe answers in a way that isn’t clear as well. “Anything” doesn’t provide you with a clear direction, and it typically leads to results that don’t help. It’s important to be clear.

It’s like ordering food at a restaurant: if you merely say “food,” you might get something you don’t like.

Instead, be clear about your energy: “Send me chances that bring peace and growth,” or “I welcome relationships that respect my spirit.” When you know what you want, the universe listens better.

10. “It’s too late for me.”

This phrase stops any chance of something happening before it even starts. Time is real, but spiritually, it’s never “too late.” Every age brings changes and growth to the soul, and blessings never run out.

When you say it’s too late, you stop yourself from getting what you want, because in your mind, it is not possible. Instead, say something like, “Now is the right time for me,” or “I trust that my journey is going perfectly.”

These words remind you that you are on the right path, even if it doesn’t seem like anyone else’s. The instant you believe they still exist, hope and possibility come back.
