Only Smart People Can Answer These Personal Questions

Only Smart People Can Answer These Personal Questions

Intelligence is not limited to arithmetic and memorization. Some of the most difficult questions are the ones that have no definite answer. This is because the answer lies entirely in your understanding of yourself.

Self-awareness, emotional intelligence, and critical thinking become vitally important when the question is too challenging for the story you tell yourself about life.

The ten questions that are listed below will not qualify as an intelligence test, but they surely will show how willing you are to analyze your behavior. Some questions may have answers ready to go instantly, while others will make one feel challenged in a severe way.

1. What Do You Pretend Not To Know?

Choose an instance in life that brings confusion to you. Then figure out if you are really confused or just put off by the obvious answer.

It could very well happen that you have just confirmed the suspicions that somebody isn’t interested in you, that a friendship has turned sour, that you have been acting in a harmful way, or that an important objective is no longer relevant.

People are skilled at causing confusion in situations where certainty may require an action.

2. Would You Still Want It If Nobody Knew You Had It?

Would you still want an expensive purchase, a good job, a great figure, a wonderful vacation, or remarkable recognition? Such questions separate true desires from social validation.

Enjoying recognition is fine unless recognition is what you are after. The answer can show what ambitions are yours.

If your goal becomes unattractive without publicity, it means that your interests were not in the thing itself but in how it makes others see you.

3. What Would You Do If You Knew Nobody Would Be Disappointed?

What if you took your parents, partner, friends, coworkers, and society out of one important choice? What would you do if nobody was disappointed with what you chose?

Changing your profession, moving to a different place, breaking up with somebody, and saying no to some obligations would be only a few possible answers.

But this does not mean that you have to take any of these steps and ignore the needs of people around you. Still, the question shows when you choose based on your own wishes and when you live by the expectations of others.

4. Which Criticism Makes You Most Defensive?

What kind of criticism encourages you to defend yourself instantly? You may be called untrustworthy, manipulative, selfish, cold-hearted, etc. But this does not mean that the criticism is true.

Sometimes people misunderstand you. However, the feedback that affects us negatively might relate to some matters we might not have noticed completely.

Instead of rejecting the unpleasant feedback right away, think if at least five percent of it can be useful to you. Smart people often do not have to agree with any criticism directed at them since they know that valuable feedback deserves being processed first.

5. Are You Actually Unlucky, Or Are You Repeating A Pattern?

Unlucky events happen sometimes. There are cases when people find themselves in situations they couldn’t have predicted in advance. But if the same problems appear again and again with different friends, jobs, or partners, there should be some other cause behind it.

How do your decisions help you repeat the same mistakes? It could be that you are drawn to unavailable partners and ignore the danger signs when making friends, or perhaps you spend your entire budget without thinking twice.

This question is not meant to make you blame yourself for everything but to make you realize the influence your actions have on the situation.

6. Who Are You When Nothing Needs To Be Achieved?

Imagine having a day when you don’t have to work or make money. You might find out that you don’t know how to have a comfortable rest without working.

Ambition could lead you to a good life but may bring you difficulties when achieving nothing makes you feel insignificant.

Using your intelligence means realizing that the equation of usefulness and personal value is not always relevant in today’s world, even though this is how things are perceived.

7. What Do You Judge In Others That You Secretly Want?

Jealousy can manifest not only as a desire for someone’s possessions but also as criticism.

For instance, a person could be called self-centered for wanting to be visible, irresponsible for wishing to have no responsibilities, or unrealistic for having an ambitious idea he or she is afraid to pursue.

However, it does not follow that the assessment is always a sign of jealousy. It is possible to judge in a fair manner. Still, an emotional response means something.

Hence, you should ask yourself what the behavior of the other person means for you. You might be irritated because they have given themselves permission to do something you would not do even when you want to.

8. If Your Relationship Stayed Exactly Like This, Would You Want It In Five Years?

Do not listen to promises about things that will change in the future. Imagine your relationship remains the same for the next five years.

Thus, all aspects of your relationship, including the relationship as it is today, communication, arguments, and habits, would remain unchanged.

Would you want this to happen? It is difficult to answer this question because people rarely look at their partner truly. Healthy relationships can grow in time, but building happiness only upon the potential of the other person is not very smart.

9. What Problem Would Disappear If You Stopped Caring About What People Thought?

There are many problems in life that exist regardless of the opinions of other people. There are some other problems that exist due to our immaginazione.

For example, perhaps you feel shy about starting over in life or deciding that your previous decision was wrong.

Think about what current problem would grow smaller if no one could be critical.

10. What Truth About Yourself Would Change Your Life If You Finally Accepted It?

This is the most difficult question because it can be very hard to think of our problems.

Smart people, whether they want it or not, have not only a reason to think about themselves but also a lot of different questions to deal with.

Hence, the answer to the question should not only reveal the truth; it could also bring a change in your life.
