10 Ways to Build Good Karma in Your Daily Life

10 Ways to Build Good Karma in Your Daily Life

Whoever said that karma is a b***h was definitely not doing good by others.

We’ve all heard the famous words ‘Do good and good will come back to you’ and boy are they true!

But karma isn’t just about doing good things, it’s about the motive behind them as well. If you do good, with good intentions, good will come back to you.

To attract good karma you don’t have to do major good deeds, like giving up your wealth or adopting a child (you can if that’s something you want though!)

You can do small things that will lead you to a more thoughtful and peaceful life!

1. Speak Kind Words

Never bring someone down with harsh words. If you don’t have anything nice to say, don’t say anything at all.

If you decide to go down the kindness path, these words can be spoken in the form of compliments or reassurance.

It’s easy to be kind and tell someone that the color of their shirt suits them nicely!

2. Smile

By smiling you are spreading positive vibes and making others feel good.

A smile from someone close might just be the pick-me-up your family member or friend needed.

Show people how much you care about them and put your ego aside.

3. Help Others

If you want to help, help with no intention of asking for something in return.

These actions can be small, like helping an old person cross the road, giving up your seat on the bus to a pregnant lady, carry the bags to the top floor for your injured neighbor and the list goes on.

It’s the little things you do and integrate into your daily life that will make a difference.

After all, Rome wasn’t built in a day!

4. Give Back

The community has offered you so much and now it’s time to give back.

Help out in the soup kitchen or donate clothes you don’t wear to someone who needs it more.

Maybe you got offered a job, but you’re pretty good where you are right now. Think for a second and you may remember someone who might need it!

5. Offer Guidance

You will find yourself being asked for help with a lot of things! People will seek your guidance in the areas you might be an expert in and it’s important to offer guidance.

It doesn’t matter if you will teach them the purpose of life or how to do their skincare.

If someone comes to you asking you to teach them something, do it!

6. Lend an Ear

When someone is opening up to you, the best thing you can do is listen to them.

This isn’t for fear of saying the wrong thing, but to be there for them.

Some people just want to get things off their chest and the only thing you can offer then is an ear!

7. Forgive and Forget

You never know when someone will decide to betray your trust, what’s important is how you handle it.

However, let’s be real, you aren’t an angel either, you probably have your fair share of bad deeds as well, and hopefully you’re not proud of them!

It’s important not to dwell on these things and forgive people at least for your own sake!

8. Be There for Others

This doesn’t have to mean that you have to be at their beck and call. It just means that if they have an important speech to give or a tournament of some sort, it’s nice to have a familiar face in the crowd.

This is especially important for parents to note down. Be there for your kid. Play with them, go on adventures together and show up to their recitals and matches.

Having someone by your side is very important and it gets us through tough times!

9. Understand

In order to help and understand others we need to put ourselves in their shoes.

Going by the beat of your own drum is the easiest way to live, with no regard for others.

This is a very selfish way to live and if you want to attract good karma you need to learn how to overcome being selfish.

This doesn’t mean that you should pass up certain opportunities in life, only that you need to think of others from time to time!

10. Say Thank You

Getting thanks is a right all of us possess. It’s also something we need to give in order to receive it.

Next time you’re out, say thanks to the cashier, the waiter or even some random stranger who held the door!

Say thank you to your loved ones and friends around you, whether that is for just being there or for grabbing you a glass of water!

Get What You Give

Karma is all about what you put out into the world.

Anything you send out there will come back tenfold.

It’s up to you if you want karma to haunt you or if you want her to bless you.

Being a good person doesn’t take up any energy and you won’t lose a dime by doing the things we talked about in this article.

Being a meanie though will definitely cost you your energy and your good luck!

Have the day you deserve!
